- Vintage Notes: Warm summer, optimal growing conditions prevailed with warm days and cool nights throughout the early fall. Hand harvested
October 30th under rapidly cooling conditions. Crop thinned 3 tons/acre.
- Fermentation style: Whole berry fermentation in small, open topped bins with hand punch-downs
- Wine Chemistry: pH 3.55, TA .60, Alc 14.5%
- Tasting Notes: "Robust, opulent and hedonistic." Deeply hued ruby red in color, explosive raspberry-cinnamon truffles on the nose. Boldly structured with chewy fine-grained tannins , ripe blackberry and cassis fruit with generous sweet oak nuances and a finish that sails on and on. Savor with a filet mignon drizzled in gorgonzola sauce.
